Thrills of an Impromptu Trip to Mulshi

A lot can happen over chai. This time around, it was the decision of an impromptu trip to Mulshi!

Second week of 2021 and our wanderlust had already taken control of us.

We packed our bags with extra clothes, swimming wear and took off for this weekend adventure. It took us about an hour and a half to reach Mulshi from Pune city.

As we reached, we immediately headed down towards the lake. We didn’t want to miss the sunset view from the bottom.

A quick stop for a quick picture. Can you guess who’s the rapper 🤣? Just look for chappals and you’ll know who it is. Also, here’s a tip: Never wear flip flops to Mulshi. Especially if you’re planning to trek down to the lake. Make sure you have your trekking/ sports shoes.

Ah! Just in time for the sunset🌅

And of course, everyone goes into photography mode📷. I mean… How could you not? Look at that👇

The tranquility of those gentle waves crashing by your feet is unparalleled🌊

Truth be told, there is a weird sense of freedom when you’re submerged in water. As you start floating, your body feels lighter, free from the worries of daily routine. Watching that little ball of light disappear, leaving the sky in shades that you’ve never seen before; just for that brief moment in time, you experience bliss.

This exhilarating experience left us contemplating life for a while. Long enough for one of us to capture the beauty you see above. Ok just kidding! Obviously we were told to pose and hold still!

And although this trip was sudden and unplanned, it was nothing short of fun. Maybe I’ll try to implement this in daily life. Instead of endless planning, I’ll just try doing whatever feels right and see where it takes me.

You could try it as well, see where it takes you!
